OBD Code P0171: System Too Lean Bank 1 — MAF Cleaner First (£12 Fix)

What does code P0171 mean?

Code P0171 (System Too Lean — Bank 1) means the ECU is permanently applying a large positive fuel trim correction on bank 1 — too much air relative to fuel. When the long-term fuel trim (LTFT) exceeds +25%, P0171 is stored.
